**PLEASE SELECT MARCH 16TH FROM THE CALENDAR** Welcome to our 6" Drip Cake Decorating Class! In this engaging workshop, we'll be focusing on the art of decorating using American buttercream. The session, lasting approximately 4 to 5 hours, will guide you through the step-by-step process of turning a plain 6" cake into a visually stunning masterpiece. We'll start by exploring the intricacies of American buttercream, covering techniques such as color application and achieving that perfect smooth finish. The class will include essential skills like layer stacking and, of course, the highlight – creating vibrant drip effects using the perfect ganache. Don't worry about baking; we've got that covered for you. The aim is to provide a hands-on experience with plenty of personalised guidance. And here's the sweet part – by the end of the class, you'll proudly take home your beautifully decorated 6" drip cake. We'll even include a well-deserved lunch break, allowing you to recharge and socialize with fellow enthusiasts. Get ready to unleash your creativity and share the joy of your delicious creation with friends and family! Join us for this delightful experience. The introductory cost for the class is £95 per person. In this face-to-face cake decorating class, participants will be guided through various techniques to elevate their cake creations, including: 1. Cake Layering and Torting: Learners will master the art of torting cakes ensuring a perfect and level surface. 2. Multi-layered Cake Construction: Discover the secrets behind constructing tall cakes with multiple layers of sumptuous fillings, creating an impressive visual appeal. 3. Crumb Coating with Buttercream: Participants will learn how to expertly apply a crumb coat using buttercream, a crucial step for achieving a smooth finish on the cake's surface. 4. Colourful Buttercream Techniques: Explore the world of buttercream colouring with gel food colourings, achieving vibrant and visually striking cakes. 5. Chocolate Drip Creation: Unveil the secrets of making and applying a delectable chocolate drip 6. Finishing touches: how to effectively decorate your cake with sprinkles, macarons and buttercream piping. 7. Packaging and Transport: How to safely package and transport your cake. PLEASE NOTE: I will personally provide a grazing board for us all to share on our break. Unfortunately I'm unable to cater for allergies, so please feel free to bring your own lunch should you need to.
