THE STORY OF BUNS & CRUMBS

Hi I'm Erika, a baker with Italian roots, now calling the west coast of Scotland home.


My culinary journey unfolded in the kitchens of restaurants and hotels, progressing from a pastry chef to the proud position of head chef.


Amid the second COVID lockdown, I ventured into the world of cake crafting as a side business, and it quickly blossomed into a success making it my full time business in the summer of 2021.


The year 2023 became a highlight of my career as I clinched three prestigious awards—a gold and first place at Cake International, a silver at Bake International, a bronze at the British Sugar Craft Guild Caledonia Competition, and an exciting finalist nomination at the D'LICIOUS MAGAZINE DMA's for "Beginner sugar art of the year" 


Beyond bespoke cakes, you can catch me at local markets, with an array of artisan breads and pastries, all handcrafted with passion. Stay tuned on social media for updates on dates and events!
